About Nomadville

 

Nomadville is a vibrant community of nomad families with its own travel school, and together we discover 4 breathtaking destinations per year. We offer a turnkey solution for families to enjoy traveling the world with the comfort of consistent socializing opportunities, friendship connections and a change-making education system that travels along with them.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative educator to join our team as a Kindergarten Educator.

​

The position:

 

You will have the unique opportunity to travel with our community and teach children in a variety of settings exploring 4 breathtaking destinations per year. You will be actively involved in creating a forward thinking curriculum based on leading teaching practices and use project-based learning to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will create a learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and discovery, where children can connect with the world around them in meaningful ways.

At Nomadville, we believe in educating kids at mind and heart. Therefore, you will teach academic skills, and also nurture children's social and emotional development, helping them develop self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal skills. Creating a supportive learning environment, where children can explore their interests and passions and develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime will be core to your activities.

The ideal candidate:

​

  • Holds a degree in Education and a valid teaching licence/ certification

  • Demonstrates a minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching elementary school students

  • Possesses strong knowledge and experience in teaching Language Arts (Literacy) and Mathematics (Numeracy); other subjects including Science, Social Studies, Art & Music and PE considered a plus

  • Native British English or American English speaker (additional languages considered a plus)

  • Is a fun and energetic spirit with an enthusiastic attitude towards learning

  • Embodies the spirit of adventure, fearlessly embracing new experiences and navigating challenges in diverse locations around the world

  • Is an avid traveller with a passion for exploring new cultures and perspectives

  • Creates a nurturing learning environment that promotes respect and empathy

  • Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and adaptability to work in different environments and with children of different ages, abilities, mother tongues and backgrounds

  • Excels in project-based and interdisciplinary learning approaches

  • Inspires children to become global thinkers and problem solvers

Responsibilities:

​

  • Work collaboratively with the Nomadville team and community members to develop and implement a holistic and integrated approach to education that aligns with our mission and values

  • Develop a forward-thinking curriculum

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and interdisciplinary learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking 

  • Create and maintain a learning environment that supports children's social and emotional well-being

  • Support every learners starting points and progress and value every child as a whole personality

  • Encourage unconventional thought and create a culture of inquiry, experimentation, and creativity, where children can express their ideas and explore new ways of thinking and doing

  • Assess learners progress and provide meaningful feedback that helps children grow their skills and talents

  • Establish a trusted relationship of collaboration and cooperation with other teachers, community members, and parents

  • Communicate regularly with parents to share information about children's learning and development and involve them in the learning process

  • Participate in professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in education and child development

 

Organization:

​

  • Start date: October 2023

  • 4 terms per year: a typical quarter consists of 9 weeks teaching on the ground +
    1 week teaching remotely (part time) + 3 weeks off
