Nomadville is a vibrant community of nomad families with its own travel school, and together we discover 4 breathtaking destinations per year. We offer a turnkey solution for families to enjoy traveling the world with the comfort of consistent socializing opportunities, friendship connections and a change-making education system that travels along with them.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative educator to join our team as a Kindergarten Educator.

​

The position: 

​

Embark on an extraordinary adventure as you travel with our community, engaging children aged approximately 3-6 in immersive learning experiences across 4 captivating destinations each year. You will play a pivotal role in designing an innovative curriculum that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and social development through hands-on activities and exploration. Nurture a love of learning and foster a sense of wonder as you connect young learners with the world around them in meaningful ways.

In addition to teaching foundational skills, you will prioritize social and emotional growth, helping children develop self-awareness and empathy. Your mission is to create a secure and supportive learning environment where children can freely explore their interests, passions, and friendships, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

The ideal candidate:

​

  • Holds a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

  • Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching preschool or kindergarten-aged children

  • Possesses a strong knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods and subject areas, such as Literacy, Maths, Arts & Music, and PE tailored to young global learners

  • Is a Native British English or American English speaker (additional languages considered a plus)

  • Is a dynamic and passionate educator, fostering a joyful and engaging learning environment

  • Embodies the spirit of adventure, fearlessly embracing new experiences and navigating challenges in diverse locations around the world

  • Displays a keen interest in exploring new cultures and cultivating global perspectives

  • Creates a nurturing learning environment that promotes respect, empathy, and social growth

  • Demonstrates patience, adaptability, and flexibility when working with young children of varying abilities, backgrounds, and languages

  • Excels in project-based and play-based learning approaches suitable for early childhood education, encouraging exploration and imaginative thinking

Responsibilities:

​

  • Collaborate with the Nomadville team and community members to develop and implement an innovative and holistic educational approach aligned with our mission and values

  • Design and deliver captivating, age-appropriate, and interdisciplinary learning experiences that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in young learners

  • Cultivate a learning environment that supports children's social and emotional well-being

  • Recognize and celebrate each child's unique starting points and progress, valuing their individual growth and contributions

  • Encourage imaginative play, inquiry, and experimentation, fostering a culture of curiosity and creativity where children can freely express their ideas and expand their thinking

  • Assess children's progress and provide constructive feedback to nurture their skills and talents

  • Foster collaborative partnerships with fellow educators, community members, and parents, creating a sense of shared responsibility for children's education

  • Regularly communicate with parents, sharing insights on children's learning and development while actively involving them in their child's educational journey

  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in early childhood education and child development, actively participating in professional development opportunities

 

Organization:

​

  • Start date: October 2023

  • 4 terms per year: a typical quarter consists of 9 weeks teaching on the ground +
    1 week teaching remotely (part time) + 3 weeks off
